My ggg grandfathers unit of the 8th Va. Cav. Co. C was stationed at Centreville in July of 1862. I do not know what happened to him, he never returned to the family after the war, nor were they notified of his death. His name was John W. Roberts. If you ever run across that name please let me know. I would love to know what happened to him. Your site is so wonderful and full of info. Keep up the great job.

To all of these soldiers and all of the ones never to be found. May they all rest in peace.

SHAME on any developer that would distroy a historical site for the need of progress(greed). I hope the remains removed will someday rest in Arlington were they will be respected with countless other honored fallen heros.

Arlington Cemetary made me realize how much one war can affect everyone in a few years I was just there last week and I still haven't got over the overwhelming site of all the graves. I send my best wishes to the families and friends of the lost.
