My great-great uncle fought here. He and I share the same name.

My g uncle, William Franklin Grant died in this battle. My grandmother searched for quite a while for his grave site, which she believed to be at Antietam, but we could never find a trace. Tonight, I was finally able to locate his regiment, 100th PA, and find a death notice on another web site. Your site was quite meaningful to me as I had a chance to peek into a day in history and relive some of Franklin's last moments. Thank you and God bless all those who died in all wars to protect our freedoms.
