My GGGGrandfather fought with Orr's Rifles and I keep searching for information that places him at particular sites. He is said to have died in Charlottesville, VA on June 14, 1863.

Thank god for each of these young men who so gallantly gave their lives for freedom that we today take for granted.May the lord Jesus Christ keep them wrapped forever in his arms.

Having visited my daughter, who now lives in Centreville since moving from Bethel Park Pennsylvania, I had only the basic knowledge about Ox Hill. I had driven past this spot several times and wanted to know just what had happened there. Thanks for telling this story, and thanks for telling us we need to preserve our history before we cover it over with malls and homes. During my next visit during the Thanksgiving Holiday I will stop and acknowledge this special spot.

Very nice tribute, I did a ceremony at the Ox Hill monument last Memorial Day, I am a reenactor with the 28th Mass Co. B.

Thanks,
