Skirmish at Germantown
3:00 pm September 1, 1862

Troop movements were overlaid on a map from August 1st, 1862. The map was based on surveys and reconnaissance from the Topographical Engineers Office of General Irvin McDowell.

Note: This colorized 1862 map was reconstructed and the details enhanced so as to better identify structures and dwellings of the area. Some road names and topographical features (Ox Hill) were also added in addition to the tactical positions of both armies.
