1858 Deed

1862 view of the Ox Hill Battlefield based on a 1858 deed to the Reid Farm

This is a survey of the Reid Farm (attached to the original deed) used in Walcott's 1895 regimental history of the 21st Massachusetts. Note how Captain Walcott's estimated positions of the Confederate battleline were very close to the actual positions determined by the archeological survey.

Note: Each unit represents a regiment with the Confederate regiments grouped by brigade.
