Fired bullets embedded in wood

These unique artifacts contributed by Kevin Ambrose are self explanatory. They were found 50 yards west of West Ox Road near the main entrance of what is now the Fairfax Town Center. A Louisiana waist belt buckle and a Confederate staff  officer's button were also found not too far from this spot. To the front of this location was where Early's Virginians and the 8th Louisiana  advanced to close the breach caused by the courageous charge of Stevens' Division.
